GARDENING WITH GRANDMOMMA

We are helping Grandmomma to plant a garden! We are not finished yet but wanted to share the beginnings of this project! We have planted…cabbage, lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, green beans, sweet corn, zuchini, squash, oniona, and peas. We also have pumpkins and sunflowers and the kids are going to plant a row of xenias! We will keep this post updated as our things begin to grow!

MORE HAIRCUTS

Joel got his hair cut. He was walking through the house and saw an old picture of him with shorter hair and decided that it was time to get rid of the longer hair! YEAH! So he was very excited to take pics for his Daddy! Later, Logan decided he need a haircut just like his brother and his Daddy. Oh, and Logan lost his first tooth so i thought i would add that to this page too! Growing up!

Monday Baking Day

Maybe I will make Monday my baking days! Maybe not 🙂 Today I made bread. Thought I would share what I made from one batch of FRESHLY MILLED WHEAT DOUGH! I made 3 loaves, 1 dozen rolls, 1 pizza for lunch, and 2 dozen donuts! It was our first attempt on the donuts and they were delicious!  My loaves are for sale! If you are in DeGraff I am taking orders!

Fun at Nana’s

We had a great week at Nana’s in Bardstown Kentucky! She has 5 acres and a horse, Jake and 2 sweet doggies, Parker and Zoey! The kids had a blast running around her BIG yard and playing down in her BIG basement! We had a fire one night to roast hot dogs and smores!

Louisville Science Center

The kids had a good time visiting this science museum. We arrived just in time to dissect owl pellets! This was something that was on my list of things to do so i was thrilled they could do it here! They found many bones and even some skulls in their pellets. We saw an imax movie about the sardine run.. It was fascinating!  Then just checked out the museum! The area for 7 and under was fantastic! No one was at the museum so alaynea and joel got to play in there too!
