Corey and I are away for a couple of days! It is wonderful to be able to do this and spend some time together but it is funny how quiet and awkward it seems at first.. no kids… no laughing… arguing… crying…. What will we do with all this free time?? Nana, Corey’s mom is home with the kids and we are so thankful to be able to get away for a couple of days. We went to this nice B&B in Elizabeth City, NC. This is our first time to visit a Bed and Breakfast. We arrived yesterday with a note on the door and a key to our room. Our suite is separate from the main house. Very nice. We went to the Big House and no one was home yet. I felt like we were breaking an entering!!! I told Corey we had to GET OUT and come back when someone is home 🙂 Breakfast was nice this morning and we met Michelle Johnson, the owner. Although the food was good, my ham was spoiled and I did not know how to tell her… so I felt wasteful for leaving the ham on my plate with no explanation. Corey and I were able to go for a 3 mile run together along the river! We ate at a nice sandwich spot for lunch and walked around the town stopping at a chocolate shop!! YUMMY! We ended the night with more food! We ate at an excellent place called Montero’s and I had a delicious steak. I have to admit, I love bread and this placed served the BEST homemade blueberry and apple cinnamon muffins I have ever had! We headed home the next morning anxious to get back to our babies! We loved trying out a B&B and hope to make them regulars on our list of things to try!  We had to take pictures of her pet bunny for Alaynea. She was so sweet, velvety black!
