We LOVE ChickFilA!!

We spent 24 hours in the parking lot of ChickFilA! A new store was opening near us and we were going to try to be the first 100 customers! We arrived on Wed. at 6:00am! We were numbers 46 and 47! At 6:30 we put up our tents! By mid afternoon the 100 spots were filled! It was COLD! The sun warmed us up during the day but in the shade we were freezing! Chickfila graciously fed us and our children breakfast, lunch and dinner plus ice cream and a late night snack, all the sweet tea we could ever want and hot chocolate at night! There was a DJ that played LOUD until midnight! Once we signed in, we were not allowed to leave the property, not even to go to our car! That would mean disqualification! Oh, did I mention the prize?? Every adult would receive 52 coupons good for a free meal, MEAL, not just sandwich. The kids had a blast getting prizes from the DJ all night. The games and dancing kept us warm! We knew many other families there. We had a group of 10 families there,  28+ children! Three were “professionals” there. One couple has done this 25 times! You do the math on that one! They have never seen so many kids at one of these CFA grand openings! We had a blast! This morning we were woke up at 5:15 am. We were lined up, given t-shirts, and marched into the store to receive our reward! So if any of my friends from far away lands come to visit, I will be taking you to CHICKFILA! What other restaurant has such a BIG party every time a new store opens! We just might have to make this a regular event in the Hartzler family memories! Enjoy the pics!

Thanks for sharing this event with us! It was exhausting, but everytime I eat at chick fil a, I will think of all the fun we had. I hope we can go eat together, but if you aren’t here, we will think of you and pray for you as we eat our chicken and waffle fries. (which were sorely missed last night)
    Are you ready for Richmond?
    Love you all,

I keep looking at this adventure!!!! What a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can picture myself as your child all grown up and telling the story over Thanksgiving Day dinner. This makes family time, a “family”. I wish they did things like that around here! When you come back to Ohio and you need someone to help you do things like this again, call me… I’ll be there! =) We’ll have two extra kids though =)

Oh wait,… I don’t think they do fun things like that in our area =( Take care and hope to see you soon!
